Altitude Air ‘9N-ALS’ H125 Helicopter which went missing is reported to have crashed at SatyaDevi Area forest of Dhading district at 5500 feet with 7 people on board.
According to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the rescue is going on in spite of unfavorable weather condition.
However, the crashed chopper had not caught fire. Due to vibrant terrain and adverse weather condition, the rescuers have been struggling hard to carry out the rescue, quoted airline official. The preliminary information suggests that there are six fatalities in the crash.
Captain Nischal K.C., Japanese national Hiromi Komatsu, Nepali citizens namely Dilli Bahadur Gurung, Hira Sherpa, Lho Ani Dolma Diki, Chowang Sherpa and Sunil Tamang were on board the H125 helicopter.
The Helicopter which was scheduled to Land Kathmandu by 08:18 AM NST from Samagaun but went missing after it lost a radio communication with Kathmandu tower after flying some 20 miles.
Neplease Army and Simrik Air’s helicopters have been deployed along with longline rescuers to the incident site for the rescue operation.
