Yeti Airlines Jetstream 41 ‘9N-AHW’ met a runway excursion incident at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 8:30 pm. There were 21 passengers and 3 Flight Crew members onboard.
The aircraft was en route to TIA from Nepalgunj carrying the Indian passengers.
As per the airlines, all passenger and crew members are safe and have been evacuated.
It has been reported that the aircraft slipped at the airport due to rainfall and slippery runway conditions.
TIA remains closed after the incident and the detail information is yet to be disclosed. Nepal Army, Nepal Police, CAAN officials and technical team from Yeti Airlines are working to bring the aircraft to a safe location, as per the information from airport officials.
