Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), national flag carrier has started commercial flights from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to Banglore, India from August 16, 2018 (today).
The aircraft with flight number ‘RA225’ departed to Bengaluru Kempegowda International Airport from TIA at 2:23 pm and landed at 4:40 pm local time.
Airbus A330 “Annapurna” which started its commercial operation to Doha from 1st August 2018 has expanded its destination. The corporation has accelerated the process of operating flights with its two newly brought A330 “Annapurna” and “Makalu” to Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia.
Sailash Kansakar, Deputy Director of the corporation stated that the corporation has already employed Global Sales Agent in Korea whereas the process is going on in Japan. Global Sales Agent takes responsibilities of ticketing and marketing.

The corporation is going to start a direct flight in three different destinations: Japan, Korea and Saudi Arabia. The corporation has planned to operate flights into Japan’s Narita International Airport. Similarly, the corporation will be conducting direct flights to Incheon International Airport in Seoul, Korea whereas in Riyadh of Saudi Arabia.
Kansakar said that the process of customs duty has been completed and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) will soon provide flight permission for the second A330 ‘Makalu’.
A330 ‘Makalu’ is expected to conduct its commercial flights in the first week of September.
The carrier’s current international network includes routes from Kathmandu to Doha (Qatar), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Hong Kong, Bangkok (Thailand) and Dubai as well to Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai (India).
