Yeti Airlines, ‘9N-AJC’ British Aerospace Jetstream, a small twin-turboprop aircraft on its schedule flight from Kathmandu to Gautam Buddha Airport met a technical glitch on its Nose Landing gear after landing at Bhairahawa aerodrome.
As per the source, after landing the aircraft the Pilots onboard spotted a warning caution on the flight deck instrument as wheels on the Nose landing gear of the aircraft was locked which forced the pilots to halt the aircraft on the runway. The aircraft with 29 passengers took off from Tribhuvan International Airport at 4:40 PM and landed at Gautam Buddha Airport at around 5:11 PM NST. All the passengers now have been disembarked safely out of the runway.
The aircraft has remained grounded on the middle of the runway following the closure of the Airport after the incident. The Engineering team from the airline will inspect the aircraft by tomorrow and will resume its normal operation, as stated by a source.
