The national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAM) department has released an Invitation for a ‘Sealed Quotation’ for all the interested EASA Part 145 Maintenance Organizations for the Line maintenance support (i.e. B1/B2 certifying Engineer) at its base at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM), for the fleet of two A330-200 aircraft fitted with RR Trent 772B engines.
According to the notice published on 2nd of February, 2018, the sealed bids must be submitted to the CAM Department at Tribhuvan International Airport and The EASA part 145 organization shall Provide positioning of B1 or B2 or Dual License (B1 and B2) experienced Licensed Engineer/Technician in KTM base for a minimum period of 2 (two) years following the extendable duration on the mutual consent upon performance satisfaction.
The flag carrier is operating domestic and international flights with its 9 aircraft. 2 Twin-Otter (DHC-6), 2 MA 60 and 2 Y12e operates for domestic sector whereas 1 Boeing 757 and 2 Airbus A320s operate international flights to 7 destinations around the world.
NAC who has plans to increase fleet size is nearing to take the delivery of two A330-200 wide-body aircraft that will serve the industry with its long-distance flights to Korea, Japan and Australia.
