Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) is preparing to operate Tarigaun Airport, Dang from 7th January for which necessary technical protocols have been prepared. As per the information, the officials have already been directed to initiate essential processes for the airport to operate.
The airport has no any deficiencies as per the technical review because it has already been operated previously. At preliminary phase, CAAN will dispatch officials from Nepalgunj and will shortly manage the sustainable manpower for the airport.
Due to repeated request from the citizens and authorities of Dang, CAAN is giving priority to operate the airport so that it will be comfortable for operating flights to hilly regions.
The airport doesn’t feature refueling facility so, the fuel will be made available from Nepalgunj via tankers and bowsers.
