A Cessna 208B crash on Sunday in northwest Costa Rica killed 12 people including 10 US citizens as there were no survivors.
The plane was carrying 10 passengers, at least five of whom shared the same last name, and two pilots. Local firefighters were reportedly on the scene.

The Cessna 208B, operated by Nature Air, had taken off from Punta Islita Resort, in Nandayure, and was on its way to the capital San Jose. Officials reported that the crash occurred at around 12:20 local time; 10 minutes after takeoff.
The several images of the crash site and wreckage was published on the social media showing the plane engulfed in flames in a wooded area.
Authorities reported they were recovering victims’ bodies and will initiate investigation into the crash from today.
