Buddha Air announces vacancy for the post of Trainee Copilot

Buddha Air, one of the reputed private airlines of Nepal, announces career opportunity for the eligible candidates to fulfill the pilot requirements as the company is planning to initiate operation in international routes through Jetliners in near future.

Buddha Air will act as a facilitator for those who wants to pursue a career as an airline pilot. The company will select 9 cadets for the training program who will acquire Commercial Pilot License (CPL) from reputed training institute on self-finance basis and then will be recruited as Trainee Copilot by Buddha Air under its standard terms and conditions.

The requirements for enrolling in this specific cadet program are:

  1. 10+2 or equivalent in Science (Physics & Mathematics) Background
  2. Medically fit
  3. Age- 18-29 years
  4. Verified police record certificate
  5. Good Command in Nepali and English
  6. Candidate must fulfill all the requirements of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal

The deadline for applying to the program is 2 weeks from the date of vacancy publication that is 12th December 2017.

Buddha Air previously announced, “Moving forward, we hope to celebrate more milestones with you. We have already signed the sales agreement with ATR Company to purchase one ATR 72-500 to be delivered in 1st fortnight of January 2018 and are in negotiations for another in June 2018. We have finalized on the Airbus 320 aircrafts to start international operations from the new Pokhara International Airport. We will start with three aircrafts from 1st August 2021 and see a scope of at least 20 such aircrafts within the decade.”

Hence, Buddha Air intending to extend its fleets and operate international flights is planning to fulfill the pilot requirements through such type of cadet programs which is probably new initiation for the aviation industry in Nepal.
