Passenger’s death compels Emirates to divert its flight

Emirates Airbus A380 flight en route from Dubai to Munich had to make an immediate landing after the take-off from Dubai. The aircraft flying to Munich was diverted to Kuwait International Airport on October 10 after a seven-year-old child passenger health condition was found critical in the onboard flight.

The passenger was given emergency medical attention upon landing but unfortunately, couldn’t be saved.

The flight continued its journey to Munich where it landed around 2.5hours behind the schedule.

“Emirates confirmed that flight EK049 from Dubai to Munich was diverted on 10 October 2017 to Kuwait International Airport due to a medical emergency. The passenger received immediate medical attention upon landing, but unfortunately was pronounced dead by an emergency doctor on the ground,” the airline said in a statement to Gulf News.

However, the statement didn’t clear the cause of child’s death. The statement said, “Emirates expressed the condolences to the family of the deceased.”
