NAC’s Schedule Flight operation halted

According to the Spokesperson of NAC, Mr. Rabindra Shrestha, The schedule flight operation of Nepal Airlines to Qatar and Kuala Lumpur has been halted due to B757 remains grounded at Doha.

The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) Boeing 757 with registration ‘9N-ACB’ which remains grounded at Hamad International Airport (DOH) Doha last Wednesday has resulted in heavy loss for the airline corporation.

“We have to wait for more about 4 to 5 days for the maintenance of the aircraft,” source added. This is not the very first time that the Boeing 757 “Gandaki” has been grounded.

Recently, on 1st April this year the same Boeing 757 ‘9N-ACB’ was grounded at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok because of the malfunction of the breathing equipment.

The Corporation has to pay bulky parking fare at the airport which generates heavy loss for the airline corporation.

Mr. Shrestha also added that passengers having pre-booking tickets are now been provided travel service with the help of other airlines.

The Boeing 757 has been serving Nepal Airlines and its passengers since last 28 years showing endurance and strength.

Nepal Airline recently has also released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for second time on May 11, 2017 for the short-term wet-lease of one A319/A320/A321 aircraft. After the wet-lease of one A319/A320/A321 aircraft the airlines will be able to conduct its schedule flight service smoothly.
