Nepal Airlines to initiate online ticketing service by the end of June

Nepal Airlines Cooperation is working on to launch the online ticketing protocol to facilitate its passengers.
Rabindra Shrestha, the spokesperson of NAC, reported us that the software for the online ticket system has already been completed and is currently going through the testing phase. The online ticketing app will be launched by the end of June after completing the trail, he added.
Rabindra Shrestha also mentioned us that Nepal airlines had signed a contract with the Thai IT company for online e-ticketing system according to which, Nepal Airlines have to open a bank account in a Thai bank for the payment procedure between the airlines and company for the online system. So, a representative of the financial department from NAC is traveling to Bangkok coming Monday to complete the banking procedure, Shrestha reported.
Nepal Airlines previously had requested for proposal from across the globe for the e-ticketing system which as a result Indian and Thai were selected amongst the various applicants. Lastly, flag carrier had appointed the Thai IT company and signed the contract for the e-ticketing system.
The airlines at present have no any plans to recruit the new employee to handle the e-ticketing system instead current IT staffs of the flag carrier will take on the responsibility, mentioned Shrestha.
Nepal Airlines will start the online e-ticketing by the end of June. At present, entire airlines operator beside Nepal Airlines is facilitating passengers with e-ticketing system.
