NAC in final phase of recruiting new pilots

NAC had announced vacancy for 20 pilots to boost its domestic flight operations two months ago out of which 11 candidates were qualified for the medical assessment. Among them, nine pilots passed the medical examination.

NAC’s Corporate Director and Spokesperson Rabindra Shrestha said that they have given one week time (April 8) for the interview of nine medically qualified pilots.

NAC had required seven captains and thirteen co-pilots however; only one captain and 10 co-pilots passed the examinations. After medical assessment, NAC only has one captain and 8 co-pilots remaining for the interview.

The selected pilots will be designated to fly Twin-Otter DHC-6, Harbin Y-12e and Modern Arc MA-60.

NAC is pretty sure the addition of new pilots will enhance domestic flight operations and also increase passenger’s belief on their service. There are two Twin Otter, Y-12e and MA-60 each for the corporation but the lack of pilots has interrupted NAC’s domestic flight operation.
