Electronic gadgets aimed to be banned on flights by U.S. government

The aviation authority along the government of United States is temporarily banning passengers to carry electronic gadgets like laptops, iPads, cameras, DVD players in carry-on luggage in some airlines from today. The reason behind the ban has not been disclosed by the US authorities. The ban was revealed by the official news agency of Saudi Arabia and Royal Jordanian Airlines yesterday.

According to a U.S. official, the ban will be effective to nonstop flights to the U.S. from 10 international airports connecting the U.S. from the cities namely Cairo, Amman, Kuwait City, Casablanca, Doha, Riyadh and Jeddah, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The ban will affect in total nine airlines.

Mobile phones and smartphones will still be allowed in carry-on luggage.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) denied to address the issue however; the announcement will be made by Tuesday.
