NAC grounded two pilots for neglecting its business policy

Chief Captain Nipendra Bhattarai and Captain Sanjay Bade Shrestha have been grounded by Nepal Airlines Corporation for not flying aircraft regularly and intimidating other pilots. Both the captains fly Harbin Y12E aircraft.
According to the source, the captains will be grounded until further announcement. Currently NAC has a total of 11 pilots to fly the Harbin Y12E aircraft. The action taken to the pilots has compelled Captain Uddhab Ghimire, only captain available, to conduct flights; Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kathmandu and Kathmandu-Bhairahawa-Kathmandu.
The two pilots are grounded for neglecting the corporation’s business policy. NAC’s source said, “The pilots are accused for not flying aircraft hence, benefiting private airlines, intimidating other pilots before conducting flights and showing inhuman behavior to Chief of Operation Department Rabindra Sherchan.”
Managing Director Sugat Ratna Kansakar has ordered to expel any pilots, engineers or staffs of any grade who work against the rules, regulations and well-being of the corporation. Among the two, Nipendra Bhattarai is seriously accused which may result his permanent expulsion from NAC.
“The internal investigation is going on and both the captains will be grounded until further notice,” source said. It has already been one and half months since the captains are grounded.
