Invasion of Mafias to exploit Nepal Airlines progression.

March 7, 2017-Kathmandu

Managing Director of Nepal Airlines Cooperation Mr. Sugat Ratna Kansakar reported that a team of mafia is working on to interrupt National Flag carrier from purchasing twoAirbus A330 wide-body jet aircraft.

M.D on Sunday during his address to the Constitutional Steering Planning Committee spoke that supreme powers are working on to surround the National Flag carrier with negative circumstances to intentionally cause damages.

M.D added that Nepal Airlines shall be obstructed but he along with the airlines will overcome the entire barrier and add Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft to flag carrier’s fleet to facilitate the citizens of Nepal.

He also reported that after the arrival of wide-body aircraft he will publicize the names obstructing flag carrier from purchasing the aircraft.

According to him the wide-body aircraft along with the Strategic planning partner of the flag carrier will land Nepal at same duration of time and will work jointly to amend plans to uplift the Airlines.

Kansakar plans to transform the National Flag carrier to a well-developed co-governmental organization and has also extended his plan of buying two wide-body aircraft accordingly to the public purchase law of the nation aiming to add wide-body aircraft to Nepal Airlines fleet.

But the Sunday’s committee meeting has accused the purchase treaty of the wide-body aircraft made by Nepal Airlines is against the laws and the committee has even requested the flag carrier to come up with the detailed explanation.

The committee had reported that a grievance has been drafted to them accusing on the purchase treaty of the wide-body aircraft to be against the law. So to verify the issue the committee has allocated five working days to Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ministry to draft the full detailed explanation on the purchase treaty of two wide-body aircraft.

Nepal Airlines has already made payment of the advance amount for the purchase of two Airbus A330 aircraft. The constitutional committee has also directed the flag carrier to appoint a reliable international strategic planning partner within coming three months. The committee has also requested the airlines to draft them the purchase treaty of the Chinese aircraft along with its performance and achievement reports.

Nepal Airlines were also requested for a proper planning and calendar of events by the constitutional committee.

According to the income statement delivered yesterday in the meet, Civil Aviation Minister Jiwan Bahadur Shahi reported that NAC has made a profit of thirteen crore seventy-one lakh twenty-six thousand and seventy rupees from its seven months long operation on 2073/74 fiscal year.

Kansakar on the occasion also added that the flag carrier will add four additional wide-body jets to its fleet in coming 3 years. “The flag carrier will shortly start its operation to Ghawonjau and will also start online ticketing system within two months of time” reported M.D Kansakar.

Culture, Tourism and Civil aviation Minister Jiwan Shahi reported that Nepal airlines is back on track and will shortly appoint a foreign strategic planning partner to give international standard service and will also increase its international destinations.

Nepal Airlines will be left with the loss if the amount generated from the ground handling of Tribhuwan International Airport is subtracted from the income which has been the focal point of criticism for the airlines. So analyzing such critics the flag carrier were compelled to appoint a foreign planning partner to boost up its income.

Similarly, members of the constitutional assembly stated that Nepal airlines cannot achieve its target without a good management and thus should focus on developing its management system. So the flag carrier was directed to appoint a partner as early as possible by the members of the assembly.

Here; Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ministry reported that a global tender will be called out for appointing a reliable management and strategic partner in a proper procedure.

Lufthansa, National Flag carrier of Germany, was selected as the management partner six years back. Documents for the appointment of the partner were also drafted but the loss of the drafted documents had halted Nepal airlines from appointing the management partner.

“Many days long discussion to take the lead responsibility of Flag carrier amongst authorities of Lufthansa and Nepal airlines had resulted in the loss of the drafted documents”, reported a source.
