Update on Bhojpur airport maintenance and construction (Photo Feature)

Bhojpur Airport, which was established on 2036 B.S., will have its runway pitched now and will be closed for fixed wing aircraft. The airport, which was graveled previously, is slated to be closed for three months, until March 7, 2017 will have its runway black topped, according to Airport Manager, Mr. Durga Mani Chaudhary. Nepal Airlines and Tara Airlines conducted flights previously in the airport vicinity.
Nepal Airlines conducted four flights while Tara Air conducted one flight in the Bhojpur Airport and flights were also conducted to Biratnagar previously but the airport has been shut down completely and the construction work is going on. About 60 percent of the construction work has been completed according to Mr. Chaudhary.
The airport will be back in operation after the construction work will be completed.
