Right now in TIA; Turkish Airlines Airbus 330 empennage dismantle:

The Airbus 330-300 aircraft of Turkish Airlines registered TC-JOC that skidded off and crashed on the runway of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) started the dismantling process of the unusable aircraft about half dozen months ago after one year it crashed on TIA in Mar 4, 2015. The essential usable, serviceable valuable parts belonging to the aircraft are being taken off the unusable aircraft by the respective airline.

Since a couple of days the dismantle process has been seen to be expedited. All the removable and usable parts from the empennage section of the aircraft are getting off the resting aircraft and being loaded to be used in the other fleet of Turkish Airline as reported.

The subsidiary company maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) center of Turkish Airlines named ‘Turkish Technic’ is in charge of the dismantle process of the crashed Airbus parked at the east helipad site of TIA.

A crane of Buddha Air has been mobilized to aid the MRO team to dismantle the empennage of the aircraft. The parts have been stored temporarily and are being shipped regularly to Turkey via its regular scheduled flights. After all the serviceable parts are taken off the fuselage body of the aircraft will be auctioned at Nepalese market as claimed by the reports.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has been charging parking fee of USD 550 per day for the disabled A330.

The Airbus 330-300 of Turkish Airlines veered off the runway while landing and stopped in the middle of taxi-way numbered 3 & 4 blocking off the runway of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). That was cleared after the attempt of 4 days, from runway after 25 technicians and Aircraft Removal Kit (ARK) were brought from India last year.
