Investigation lodged for the robbed luggage bags of eighteen immigrant workers in Tribhuvan International Airport

An investigation team has been setup to inquire about the robbed luggage bags which belonged to eighteen of twenty Nepalese immigrant workers who had returned from Saudi Arabia from Fly Dubai Airlines last Friday. The returnees have blamed the airport for careless management of their luggage while also claiming the involvement of airport officials and security personnel in the robbery.
An emergency staff meeting at Tribhuvan International airport was held which concluded on conducting an investigation which would be headed by the spokesperson of TIA, Mr. Prem Nath Thakur along with other five members. The investigation team has been given five days duration for finding the truth about the event.
The investigation team includes Head of Security Department Mr. Prakash Chandra Dhakal, Head of Aerodrome Safety Office Mr. Chabilaal Khannal along with senior officers of the Administration Department. The team will be inspecting whether the lost luggage were robbed in the TIA vicinity or at other airports during the transition period. Likewise, the squad will also be investigating to find the real culprit behind the robbery.
“While three days have passed, the blame of the involvement of TIA officials is still unproven, the transit countries through which the aircraft have passed are contacted through their ambassadors and security agencies have been informed to find out about the incident there.” told the spokesperson of TIA, Mr. Prem Nath Thakur. He further added that though a day was spent during the return of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal as all the members were involved in the process, the investigation would be completed within the time frame and report would get published.
Some twenty Nepalese immigrant workers returned back to Nepal last Friday through the aircraft of Fly Dubai Airlines and eighteen of those had their luggage robbed who have been compensated by the airlines.
