The status of Pokhara Airport this festive season

During the ongoing occasion of festivals and celebrations, Pokhara Airport has been encountering quite hectic schedules. The airport where Yeti, Buddha and Simrik Airlines regularly conducts back and forth flights from Kathmandu and Pokhara has been encountering high number of travelers mostly because of the festive season.
Likewise, the flights to Jomsom from Pokhara Airport which are administered by Tara and Simrik Air are still enroute regularly.
Despite the high traffic of tourists in the airport in the second year after the earthquake, the engagement of the tourists as it would be two to three years back has not been seen yet.
On comparing the congestion of internal and international tourists who visit the airport, the number of internal tourists visiting the airport has also increased significantly which clearly shows the increment of internal tourists who travel by the air and the consciousness of general people towards the proved air travel which is swift with more provision and safety from flood and other calamities which could be met while travelling by road and the recent earthquake and its ongoing aftershocks has gave general people an impact about the unsudden accidents that can come about anytime.
The travel time from Pokhara to Kathmandu and vice versa is about twenty five minutes and usually Yeti Airlines conduct eleven scheduled flights, simirik airlines carries out five to six flights while buddha air also ushers a number of scheduled flights along with the addition of flights which are conducted for sightseeing with the helicopters, airplanes and ultralight flights has also been increasing as the months providing admirable aesthetics of Pokhara and nearby regions are usually September to December which results in high increments of external tourists in Pokhara Airport.
The morning time provides views of the himalayan range around Pokhara which are quite breathtaking and many ultralight flights are conducted at that time. Avia Club Nepal operates with seven ultralight, Pokhara Ultralight operate with four and Fishtail ultralight operate with three ultralights which are generally conducted at 6:30 to 11 :30 am from Pokhara airport for sight seeing, while Prabhu, Dynasty, Manang and Mountain Air run their helicopters for sightseeing in the morning along with Tara and Simrik Air carry out flights at 6:30 am in the morning enroute to Jomsom and lastly flights are regulated from Kathmandu to Pokhara by Yeti Buddha and Nepal Airlines starting from 8 am to land at the airport which makes the morning time at the airport quite hectic.
This shows that Pokhara Airport has been an important hub for travelers during festivals and also for tourists continuously.
