Kathmandu– All the three aircraft of Mountain Helicopters namely AS-350 B3e of 9N-AKB registration, AS-350 B2 of 9N-AJJ registration and Ec-130 B4 of 9N-ALQ registration have been facing problems recently.

The EC-130 B4 had crash landed earlier when at Jubing of Solukhumbu District which was commanded by Captain Suraj Thapa and there were four passengers on board. The initial reason was cited as engine failure and presently, the aircraft is under investigation for the real reason behind the crash-land.

Likewise, the AS-350 B3e which has been operating in various mountainous terrain as well as in hot and dry areas has completed 3000 flight hours and is scheduled for its major maintenance which mainly includes changing the main gearbox but will take some time due to some delay in the arrival of the required components.

This kind of growing and unfortunate problems in all the aircraft of a renowned airline whose aircrafts are widely used for medical assistance, traveling in higher mountainous belts and transportation of cargo’s in rural areas shows the lack of fortune of the airlines and the aircraft that it owns.
