Repatriation chartered flight from Maldives and Saudi Arabia on June 15 has been cancelled

Nepal Airlines chartered flight to Male, Maldives scheduled for June 15, has been cancelled. As per the notice published by Embassy of Nepal Colombo, Sri Lanka the first repatriation flight No ‘RA2132’ from Maldives to Kathmandu has been cancelled. The next scheduled date has not yet been decided.

Government of Nepal has declared the ticket fees of $480 one way from Male to Kathmandu. There are Two Hundred Fifty one passengers short listed for the first flight and they have bought the tickets too. It is found that tickets have been issued from Vaishali Travels and Tours, Thamel.

On the other side, The flight of Himalayan Airlines for Saudi Arabia scheduled for June 15 has been also postponed. According to the embassy, ​​new flight schedule along with the new airfare will published soon. In this time embassy has requested not to do any health related tests like PCR or RDT until further notice published.

All the passengers are obligated to provide RDT or PCR test reports before embarking the aircraft.

Furthermore, after landing in Nepal, people should stay in quarantine as per the government’s guidelines.

The passengers will be transferred to holding centers arranged by the government and later will be shifted to provincial and other quarantine facilities according to their preference and affordability. Hotels have offered to provide their space as quarantine facilities with charges. The quarantined will be provided with four meals a day at a price as minimum as Rs 2,000 for shared rooms and Rs 3,000 for a single room.
