Considering the pandemic of COVID-19, more than four international flights are going to be conducted in a couple of days. During the flight suspension, Nepal has however allowed the international flight on its sky only for the essential medical cargo and passenger evacuation.
As per the source, an Airbus A320 of Himalaya Airlines ‘9N-ALW’ Flight No. H9 9871 will depart to Changsha Huanghua International Airport in command with Capt. Rahul Srivastava at around 17:45 P.M. today from Kathmandu to carry the cargo medical essentials from China. Flight No H9 9872 will land Tribhuvan international Airport tomorrow (01 May 2020) from CSX airport.
In response to evacuate the passengers from Nepal to various country, The Royal Thai embassy has chartered the Thai Lion Boeing 737 with registration ‘HS-LTT’ to operate passengers repatriation flight on 01 May 2020. As per the source, Thai Lion Flight Number TLM220 will land at Kathmandu around 02:00 PM to evacuate more than 40 persons.
Both Airbus A330 for Nepal Airlines will be bound to China and Australia for Cargo and Passengers evacuation flight on 06 May 2020. It has been reported that one of the wide-body will depart to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) for carrying the medical essentials and next one to Brisbane, Australia for evacuating the Australian and Newzeland citizens.
As per the records various Neplease and international airlines has conducted 34 international cargo and Passengers evacuation flight from Tribhuvan Intenational Airport till today.
The Government of Nepal has suspended the domestic and international flight till 15 May 2020 in consideration with COVID-19 pandemic.
