The South Korea-based Jin Air is making its first Chartered flight on the Incheon-Kathmandu route on June 30.
It stated the process for the flight authorization has forwarded to Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Embassy of Nepal, Seoul . South Korea based travel agencies is setting up the flights in coordination with NRNA, Korea as well as the Embassy.
The ticket fare is set to be 700 USD for the on-way flight (Korea to Kathmandu) while the charges is 750 US dollar per passenger for those desiring to depart South Korea from Nepal. The current charges is relatively low-cost than of two charted flights (Korean Air) that flew on Korea-Kathmandu-Korea route formerly as passengers were charged 1,250 US dollar for the one way only.
Based on the timetable, the Jin Air will depart for Kathmandu from Incheon at 13:30 Hrs (Local time of South Korea) and will land at TIA at 16:55 Hrs (Local Time of Nepal). The aircraft will depart from Kathmandu at around 18:55 Hrs on the same day.
The second flight is likely to be scheduled on July 5.
It is said that 4,500 Nepalese currently stuck in South Korea as a result of the suspension of flights from the past three months due to corona virus pandemic.
