Fiji Airways, the national airline of Fiji, has reported an income of $62.1 m compared with $55.3 m for the previous fiscal year at a press conference held in Nadi yesterday. Airlines stated that a dividend of $1,000 was also declared for the company’s employees and retired workers except for executive staff.
Andre Vilojen, Managing Director and CEO of Fiji Airways, said that they were still in a great position whereas the company operating revenue before tax was $58.9m up for the difference to $50 m in the past year. The challenging pre-COVID environment has adversely affected company profitability.
Following COVID-19 hurdles, furthermore, the Fiji Airways Group raised earnings year-on-year by 10.7 percent, while still surpassing the previous year in terms of sales and passenger numbers.
Boeing company compensated revenue and losses suffered by airlines after the two Boeing 737 MAX 8 were grounded last year.

Fiji Airways Business Class
Fiji Airways Business Class provides travelers an exclusive class. Before the departure, the airways provide dedicated check-in, increased bag allowance, and express airport lanes. The user can access the lounge facilities at various selected airports.

Is it still Flying
Fiji Airways is not currently in service due to the COVID-19. The global pandemic stopped the service of many airlines and Fiji airways is not an exception. The airways did two flights per week between Nadi and Singapore. The airways stopped flying to Singapore as well before some time.
The company suspended all the international services from March. There is no intention of the company starting soon as well. So, for a certain amount of time, the airlines are not in service. However, as soon as the pandemic ends, Fiji Airways plans to resume the service.
