Himalaya Airlines, a Nepali international air carrier has officially announced the launch of a new direct air services from Kathmandu to Abu Dhabi.
The carrier has announced to operate flight to Abu Dhabi from Kathmandu from March 31, 2019. This will be Himalaya Airline’s new passenger route service, complementing the airlines’ existing sectors: Dubai, Doha, Dammam, Kuala Lumpur and Kathmandu.
With the launch of thrice weekly service, the airline will operate its one of the three Airbus 320-214 on the route.
The airline has appointed Fishtail Travel and Tourism LLC, Dubai as its General Sales Agents (GSA) for passenger in United Arab of Emirates, who will be responsible for the airline’s sales and marketing, market development, reservations and ticketing services representing the airline in Dubai.
Previously, the carrier increased its flight frequency in Kathmandu-Doha route. The carrier announced to commence 9 flights a week starting from 12th July, 2018. Earlier, the carrier was operating 7 flights a week.
Himalaya Airlines has successfully completed 2nd year of commercial operations as per international standards with direct flights to Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai and Dammam. Having received the SATA Gold Award for “Leading New International Airline – Visitor’s Choice in South Asia”, the airline has been at the forefront to demonstrate the commitment to serve the nation.
Previously, Himalaya Airlines entered into to the China market with the maiden flight to its latest destination, Chongqing, a major tourist city of the People’s Republic of China on October of 2018.
Likewise, the airlines has paid NRs. 1 crore of the service charge to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). The airline paid the amount through cheque after receiving notice from TIA to take legal action as the carrier continuously failed to pay dues.
