Air India, India’s popular airline, is now ready to resume flights back to Singapore after a much longer break. On Saturday, July 10, Air India announced their July schedule that includes flights connecting India and Singapore through their Twitter account. Air India announced it will restart the flights from four cities for now. Sectors on which the airline will fly are Chennai-Singapore, Trichy-Singapore, Kochi-Singapore, and Hyderabad-Singapore.
The airline also claimed that it has begun accepting reservations for the tickets. These flights will be operated under the Vande Bharat Mission of the Central government to repatriate stranded Indians from abroad.
As per the schedule shared by Air India, they inaugurated their first flight to Singapore starting on July 1. The flight will be taking off from Trichy. This route for Air India will be carrying most of the days. Whereas Air India then started its first route in a while from Chennai on July 5. Similarly, the flight from Kochi took off on July 6, and since Hyderabad is ready to take Air India to Singapore on July 13.
However, Air India has also shared the returning flights from Singapore back to these cities. The first flight back from Singapore will be taken to Trichy right after the day from its flight to Singapore after spending the day at the airport, which is on July 2, Then the flight back to Chennai will be taken off on July 2, which will be the same day for the flight to Chennai from Singapore.
The planes will be returning to India considering two new places: Vijayawada and Bengaluru. People who want to return to Hyderabad are meant to arrive via Vijayawada, and those who wish to return to Kochi will be arriving via Bengaluru. Air India will be returning to Bengaluru on July 6 and to Vijayawada starting on July 13. The travelers to Hyderabad and Kochi will be taken on the same day back to their destination.
The flights were postponed owing to the increasingly rapid Covid cases.
Not only Singapore:
Air India has reopened its flight for Singapore and some of the more popular nations. Those include Kuwait, UAE, and Malaysia. Air India also gave this update through its Twitter account.
They have also announced new flights from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Kozhikode, Kerala, and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Twitter on Saturday. On July 15, Air India Express flights will begin from Jeddah. On July 16 and 18, Air India Express will fly from Jeddah to Lucknow. The planes will leave Jeddah at 11 a.m. and arrive in Lucknow at 7:30 p.m., according to the timetable.
Flights between Kuwait and India are also now available for booking. It will fly flights on routes such as Kuwait-Vijayawada-Kozhikode, Kuwait-Kannur-Trichy, Kuwait-Trichy-Kochi, Kuwait-Mangalore-Trichy, and Kuwait-Mangalore-Trichy from July to October.
Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Maldives
Many other airlines in India have also begun their routes to travel across oceans to many other nations. India-Dubai routes are planned to reopen on July 15, with Indian carrier Vistara operating the first trip from New Delhi to Dubai. The flight is expected to land around 11:20 p.m. local time in Dubai. IndiGo and SpiceJet are among the other carriers that will be available. For Malaysia, the airline announced it would restart the flights to Kuala Lumpur too. Air India will depart its flight starting on July 2, 2021, and arrive in India on July 7, 2021. The Maldives will resume international flight services next week, on July 15. Go First, and IndiGo have already announced flight plans between the two nations.
